Anna Blackburn
Bathurst Tack Box Proprietor

Bathurst Tack Box kindness
Every horse owner knows that horse ownership is shrinking. Since the motor car, less than 100 years ago, horses are a choice not a necessity. For the first time in 4000 years, we don't need to spend time with horses every day. Horse community is more important than ever before. Bathurst Tack Box members are painfully aware that it is up to all of us to preserve the history of equestrians and continue the culture of horses where possible. BTB Members has formed as a result of the overwhelming support of the Bathurst Tack Box idea of exchange through a preloved range of gear and the need for advocacy in our increasingly urban environment. Support our current project of providing lessons for young riders at the local riding schools through the sale of donated gear. Send us a message if you need an item or wish to donate or sell a saddle on consignment.

Anna has always had a love for horses, and was fortunate to be
afforded the opportunity to follow her passion 20 years ago when she
established a training and retraining facility for horses in thoroughbred
racing, vaulting, driving and many other ridden disciplines.

In 2017, Anna recognised the need for a local saddlery in the Bathurst
and greater central west area after many of these original businesses
began closing down.

Fueled by her own love for the equestrian lifestyle as well as a reluctance to see the services of
our traditional saddlery's fall by the wayside, the Bathurst Tack Box was born.
Anna is the proud parent of three children who also share her love of equestrian sports. She also invests a substantial amount of time into the local horse community through teaching, supporting horse clubs and providing a base for vaulting lessons since 2009.
